CLUB DETAILS
Norton and Stockton ancients play in the Arngrove northern league second division. They were formed 1959 as Norton Cricket club trust ,and changed to the present name when the former 3 times Amateur cup winners Stockton FC amalgamated and they took the name Ancients to forever commerate the proud Stockton history.They were admitted to the Northern league the same year 1982 and won the League cup in their first season beating Whitby Town 2-1. Season 2004/5 saw the club reach the highest league position for 20 years and were beaten finalists in the Craven cup 2-1 by West Allotment.The club has 19 junior teams ranging from Under 7-17 and also succesfull Over 40s and Sunday morning teams , playing at Norton sports complex Station Road Norton which is a multi sport site with floodlit astroturf and good quality football pitches.
