| CLUB DETAILS |
Wigan Robin Park Football Club was only founded in 2005. Initially the idea of Mike Woodruff (manager of Robin Park Arena) as part of the trust's drive to increase participation at all levels at the borough's sporting facility. That's where we, John Neafcy, Vinnie Neafcy, Taffy Roberts, Martin Turner and myself Jim Calloway became involved. So this year Wigan Robin Park was formed.
For our initial season we have entered "The Air Miles League" in Manchester, which is a feeder for the North West Counties, it is our intention to be playing in that league within two/three seasons.
The clubs plans however do not stop there we intend to promote the sport for all ages within the community, and for that reason we have complied a 5 year plan which includes a reserve team for the season 2006/07 followed in 2007/08 by a youth team and hopefully after that promote junior teams and a ladies team. We already have fully qualified coaches and a fully trained physiotherapist on our team.
As you can appreciate our plans are ambitious and costly and although we have already initiated our fund raising with a "Sportsman Dinner" we still require additional sponsorship.
Any level of support would be greatly appreciated, from as little as £50. Obviously companies want to know if they receive anything in return for their investment, listed below are some of the benefits:
1. £50 for a match ball or match sponsor, your company name will be announced over the PR system at the start and during the game.
2. £300 for an advertising board, the board is 4 foot by 8 foot with your company name and logo and will be displayed around the ground. The board will stay in it's selected location all year round and will be displayed at the following events already planned for 2005.
15 rugby matches (the standard is from school level to great britain internationals)
50 football matches (from school level to Wigan Athletic FC reserves)
50 athletics meeting (school level to Uk division 1)
12 charity events
In 2004 the centre had 600,000 people attending it's events.
3. £1000 for the purchase of either tracksuits or running out tops again your company name, logo and telephone number can be printed on the back.
4. £2500 for our main sponsor. For this advertising board as above, but it would be displayed directly infront of the main stand. We would also include your company logo or telephone number on all of our correspondence including notice boards around the arena.
