Grasshopper junior fc are a long standing community based football
club based on romney marsh,we run teams from under 7s to u16,we currently have 180 boys/girls signed on.
Im Dave + with the help of Jo + christina, i will be running this years under 8 team.
We started last season as under 7s + we played at the ashford mini soccer centre in a non competetive league, we played a total of 38 games winning 22 drawing 10 + losing 6,so not a bad start to our first season.
I feel we are very lucky to have such a great group of boys + parents
who all get on well, on + off the pitch,we also have a great social side to our team.
The 10 boys i've got just keep getting better + better they all want to learn so my job is an easy one.everyone gives 110% on match days and in training they really are a joy to coach.
I would also like to thank my parents for their continued support,sandra for collecting the subs making me tea + bringing the bacon butties to every match for all the parents,mark for reffing our games last season,kim our first aider + john for printing our t-shirts + the rest of you for your great vocal support.
A quick thanks to mark richardson for his help and advice when we first started,also thanks to roy geddes + leigh mortimer of greatstone school for their on going support + use of the school facilities .
