Brislington Cricketers FC were formed in 1992 by local villagers Ian Thomas and Timothy Iles. They entered the Bristol + Avon League under the guidance of Paul Iles and were extremely successful in there debut season, winning the league with an unbeaten 30 game record and the Temple Colston Cup. Nick Tredigo scored 29 goals that season and this total stands unbeaten 14 years on. The club play there fixtures at the theatre of dreams that is Ironmould Lane and are now managed by Former Cricket Captain Ian Norbury who has replaced the outgoing Clive Peters. Peters led the couple to League and Cup double last year in his final season at the helm. The club is sponsored by local bus firm, Abusfaresaver, owned by Alan Peters. |
