Club Details

St Francis Rangers FC was formed in 2002, following the amalgamation of St Francis (St Francis Hospital until 1999), and Ansty Rangers (Lindfield Rangers until 1996).

After just 2 seasons in Sussex County League Division 3, we won promotion to Sussex County League Division 2 (Senior football), finishing as Runners Up to Champions Crowborough Athletic.

In 2004/2005 we narrowly missed out on promotion to Sussex County League Division 1 by 4 points. A creditable 4th place finish was accomplished in our first season in Senior football. The 2nd XI also had a good season and finished 5th in Sussex County League - Reserve East.

In 2005/2006 we went one better finishing 3rd in Sussex County League Division 2 gaining promotion to Sussex County League Division 1 for the first time. However, the SCFL did not grant us the necessary ground grading so we started the 2006/2007 season still in Sussex County League Division 2. Our reserves had a great season as well and norrowly missed out on promotion to Sussex County League - Reserve Premier with a 3rd place finish in Sussex County League - Reserve West.

In 2006/2007 we went one better again and secured the Runners Up spot behind Champions Pagham. All the necessary work has been carried out and the ground grading was acheived on 14th May 2007 to grant Rangers promotion to Sussex County League Divsion 1 for the first time in our history.

The Reserve team finished in 8th place in Reserve West despite a poor start which resulted in a change of management team. The squad was rebuilt, mainly with youngster and did well to compete in a strong league.
