Home ground: Temple Park 1 King George Road South Shields Top Club play in the South Shields Sunday Morning Football League A Division.
They were reformed in 2003 by a group of friends, making the effort to start up a club run by players for the players.
The squad grew over the season with the majority of players coming from friends of friends. To begin with, we just wanted to get a team together, but the quality of players that soon came along and hard work by all concerned in both pre-season training and regular training soon changed the team into a good strong group of lads. In the 04/05 season we went on to win the C Division championship.
We pride ourselves on team spirit + togetherness, and hard work. We have built a reputation for being a team which plays to the bitter end of every game and as such have pulled off some late results which is to the credit of each and every player. Not content with merely winning games, The Top Club look to win games with a good attitude by playing a good passing game of football, and earning every victory with determination and effort.
The team has brought together lads from around Sunderland and South Shields and has helped forge some strong friendships and there is a real feel of togetherness when we play.
We play are home matches on pitch 1 at Temple Park 10.30am Kick off.
Are home strips are blue and white. And are away strips are red and white.
We are sponsored by the Top Club in South Shields and by Fletchers Locks of Sunderland.
