Chard Town Colts - Perry Street Premier League

The new Chard Town Colts were formed in 2004, where we started life in Division Four of the Perry Street League. In our first season we completed promotion to Division 3 when finishing second behind White Horse Reserves and won both League Cups with wins over Hawkchurch Reserves and Thorncombe Reserves.

In 2005, the team lost many players to our reserve squad which meant we were short of players from the start. After a very difficult season we managed to gain enough points to secure our status in the league and gave us something to build on for the following season.

2006 was an amazing season, after gaining many new players, new kit and website, the squad played brillant football all season. After a run of 14 unbeaten matches we won Division 3 in style and gain promotion as champions.

During the summer of 2007, our reserve team decided to join the Devon Senior League. We have now replaced them in the Premier Division of the Perry Street League, a jump of 3 leagues in one promotion. With new signings already made and most of last seasons squad re-signing, the future looks bright for the Colts.
